Challenging Athletes to Explore Their Full Potential

Varsity Class

Creating Intentional Opportunities for Growth On & Off The Field

Academy Camps Varsity Class is a unique opportunity for our oldest campers (entering 10th grade) that challenges them to explore their full potential off the field through age-appropriate programming aligned with Academy Camps’ core values. The program aims to develop transferable skills like communication and leadership while allowing participants to serve as role models for younger athletes.

The Varsity Class is overseen by our dedicated Varsity Camp Leaders and includes:

  • An off-campus trip to Hartford Yard Goats game at Dunkin’ Donuts Park
  • Team-building exercises at our adventure space, The SOLO Barn
  • Attending Varsity Leadership Workshops that further the development of communication and teamwork skills through interactive activities and discussions led by AC Leaders
  • Serving as AC Cup captains to lead fellow campers during our greatest tradition
  • Participating in our Varsity Buddy program with our younger campers, fostering broader and more meaningful connections
  • Access to space on campus designated solely for Varsity Class members

The Varsity Class naturally assumes the role of camp culture setters and this program empowers our oldest athletes to take on the role of peer leaders in the AC community.
